WIP Wednesday

I have just a few WIPS on the needles right now. I am usually monogamous with my projects....start one, finish one, and then start the next one. I am still not sure how I got this many going at once! So, here is the ongoing list! The Traveling Woman Shawl. I deliberately chose a color that isn't usual for me, in the hopes of branching out. And I LOVE what it is doing in this shawl! I can't wait to wear it!
The Suri Scarf. I am really enjoying an easy, repeating, lace pattern that I can pick up and put down when I need a brainless project.
Um, yeah, STIIIIIILLLLLLL working on the boys sweaters. I am glad that I went up a size when I started them, not knowing how long it was going to take to finish them. It has been 9 months! But, I am one sleeve, and two hoods and the stitching away from being done. So, we are getting close....
A Blue Moon beaded bracelet.
A Rock Candy Beaded necklace. Pattern for both of the beaded items is Sivia Harding's Moonrise Necklace, and kits by Earthfaire. Have I mentioned that I am in obsession with that website?

MUST. GO. FINISH. SOMETHING.

Finishing Friday!

First thing finished - rewards for 10 days without accidents (don't you just LOOOOVE potty training?!) Their very own peanut buster parfait! Yep, they considered that a pretty good reward!
I have been doing a LOT of beading lately. This is a plainly strung necklace and bracelet set.
A Moonrise Necklace by Sivia Harding's pattern. I ordered the pattern from Earthfaire - and I am TOTALLY in love!
These are two bracelets from the same pattern - different colored kits. I am now working on the necklaces to match!
Another plain beaded bracelet - it's hard to see in this light, but it is purple crystal...and it goes with half of my closet!
I-Cord Necklace...pattern also by Sivia Harding. I am not as much in love with this pattern. It seemed fiddly, and hard to follow. You really had to make sure you laid the thread juuuust right to make the necklace look good. But, I do love the finished product.

I don't remember the name of this pattern -but it was from Earthfaire, too. LOVE that website - and it can be too tempting - just ask my credit card company!
And finally, two necklaces that I crocheted with wire. I found the kits at my LYS, and really liked the finished result. Totally ruined my crochet hook, though!

I also have some WIPs on the needles - maybe next post. I figured this was enough pictures for this one! So, off to work on some of those WIP's!

Scrapbooking continues!

It's the project that never ends. Yes, it goes on and on my friends....
Scrapbooking will never end. Yes it goes on and on my friends...
At the beginning of the weekend, I had 4 books that were through Nov of 2010. Now, that doesn't sound bad, unless you consider that I started 2010 2 months ago. It has been a marathon!

This is what is my desk looks like... 4 piles of pictures...Dec 2010, Jan 2011, Feb 2011...

Now, it may not look like a lot...but then check out all of the 'help' that I have!
I have three munchkins that LOVE to scrapbook with me! They get all of the pictures and stickers that I am not going to use, and they have notebooks and scissors from The Dollar Tree. They cut, glue and stick to their heart's content, and thoroughly enjoy themselves! W asked me this morning 'Aren't we going to scrapbook?!'

But, I did take a bit of a break today to head to a Mary Kay party, and I took my baby girl with me, too! She got to try on all of the makeup, clean her face, and have a great time being spoiled! Here she is displaying her 'green eyes!' I have a girly girl on my hands!

I have 2 pages per book to go - but am waiting on the pictures I ordered to get here! Next weekend, I should be DONE! And then I can work on the knitting and beading that are stacking up! I do have pictures of some WIPS and FO's, so stay tuned!
