10 year anniversary trip

Meet our home away from home for 7 days. For our 10th anniversary, Andy and I got away on a cruise for 7 days - just the two of us! We got to sleep in, talk, hold hands, relax, and just enjoy each other! It was absolutely amazing - and a true gift. So, where did we go?

Alaska!!!! We hit Juneau, Skagway, Ketchikan and Victoria. Look at the awesome scenery. Andy's comment to me was "and He only took 7 days." How true is that?!We saw BEARS - 8 of them!We saw WHALES - Humpback and Killer! We saw scenery that brought tears to our eyes. This is the South Sawyer Glacier. We had a private balcony, and spent many hours out there together, enjoying breakfast! and just watching the views go by.Of all of them, I think this was my favorite stop, however. Andy surprised me 10 years ago with a trip to Victoria, Canada for a honeymoon. We actually visited the Buchart Gardens while we were there, and we enjoyed every second of it. Victoria was our last stop on the cruise, and we couldn't pass up the opportunity to go back. It brought tears to my eyes several times to realize how far we have gone, and how much more I am in love with Andy!Tulips are my favorite flower, and they were what was in bloom last time we were there. This time, it was a myriad of rhododendrons. However, I was blessed in that just one set of tulips were still in bloom for my enjoyment.I am so blessed to have Andy in my life. Know the saying..."I love him more today than yesterday, but less than tomorrow? That covers it.

We missed these guys a ton - and brought them lots of presents - including these pj's that they are so proud to show off!
And I got a brand new kitchen floor while we were gone! We had a bit of dry rot that we had fixed. Isn't it lovely?

Spring is here!

What does it look like? I am washing the car!

Being Daddy's big helper, of course. He LOVED all of the help.

That is, until we washed a side that he had already finished. We told him "you missed a spot!"

But, I really think the draw was that three munchkins got to play in the water!
However, you might ask, "Where was Mommy (besides behind the camera! LOL)

She was finishing R's Tulip Sweater in Dream in Color Classy!!!! An actual, finished, knitted project!!!! Woot Woot!!!!!! I DID it!!!!! And, since I never blogged about it - this was actually my first knitted project! A little shrug for Miss R to wear for Easter. Her dress was pink with purple flowers, and the shrug was purple. She was happy - she got pink and p'uple for Easter! I now have yarn for 2 boys sweaters, since a very sweet Mr. W came and leaned against my knee while I was working on finishing the Tulip Sweater, and asked "Mommy, where's my g'een 'weater?" I ordered the yarn the next day! :-)
