Swimming Lessons!

One of the things about living in Oregon is that there is a lot of water...everywhere...lakes, rivers, the beach, swimming pools. Andy and I thought it was important for the kids to learn how to be safe - and have a lot of fun! - in the water. So, this year was the first time they were old enough to sign up for swimming lessons, and we did! 4 weeks of being gone Tues and Thurs nights is wearing on us, but the kids are having a blast!

Waiting on the side of the pool for lessons to start...I don't know whether they really like to practice their kicking, or if it is just good fun to watch Mom panic when they get the camera wet! LOL

Mr B is a little fish...he has a grin from the time we get in the car to head to the pool, until he gets out of the pool. He LOVES to swim, and enjoys every second of it.

W isn't quite as enthusiastic. The water scares him a bit, but he seems to be overcoming it, and is now not only enjoying himself, but willingly putting his face in the water, and floating on his back.

P'incess loves swimming lessons, and loves to direct them as well. I feel sorry for her teacher, as we can often hear her telling her brothers whose turn is next, and what they should be doing! A born leader...if we can just channel it!

These have been some tough weeks for us, as Andy's truck is having issues, and we have learned that W has some hearing problems that we need to address. The swimming lessons have been good for giving us a reason to smile, and something for the kids to look forward to.
