Works in Progress

Well hey there! It's been a while! Mommy has been soooo busy lately, that I thought I should help her out and catch you all up on what is going on in our world. It has been very busy, and kind of crazy, too. We are all trying to adjust to a new life, and not doing too well at it. Mom and Nonny say the new family motto is "One day at a time." But today has been a pretty good day. At Mommy's new job, she works 4 10's. Whatever that is! But that means that Fridays are our days! We get to go grocery shopping, run errands, clean the house, and spend time together. We also get to sleep in, which Mommy says is her favorite part of the day!
However, Mommy is trying to get some other things done, so I thought I would show you her works in progress. There's a lot of them! This is an afghan she is trying to get done for a wedding present. I kind of like it! And it is cleaning out her stash. That makes Daddy happy, too!We thought that picture was kind of boring, though. So, the next time, we helped enliven it a bit! R wears her hat like a girl, and I am trying to fix it for her. This is a baby sweater. There is a church baby shower in a couple of weeks that Mom wants this done for. She better get busy, quick! R and I helped her with this picture, too. She can take some very boring pictures if we don't help her out.Mommy got really upset when we tried to help with this picture. No gratitude, I tell you!She made a lace tablecloth a long time ago - before I was even born! She loved doing it, and is working on another one. No idea how long it is going to take her, but I think she might have bit off a bit more then she should chew right now! Oh well, she is enjoying it!Mommy says these are her best works in progress. I don't quite know what she means. We are being good in this picture! We are all playing with our kitchen and just loving being home on Friday.

Look! We are playing with our new birthday road! We love our cars and road, and play with it all the time. Fridays are fun, 'cause we don't get to play with our home toys the rest of the week. We get Nonny's toys, instead!

A better shot of our road. I am going to the grocery store for Mommy, but B thinks that the park would be more fun. Speaking of which, Mommy said as soon as I was done with this, and she had the house clean, we could go to the park for reals. Well, I think the house is clean enough, and my little fingers are getting tired. So, to the park we go. I want to 'wing!

Church Campout and Birthday Party!

This weekend was our annual church campout. We hadn't yet celebrated the kiddos birthday number two, so we thought that this would be a good time, since the family was all together. The three mousketeers enjoyed their first hot dog roast! And, since we were camping, they had birthday s'mores, rather then cake! I can honestly say - no one missed the cake! LOL And the kids thought this was FANTASTIC!!!!We DID blow out candles, though! Puckering up! And BLOW!!!!!Excuse me, does anyone realize that my parents are encouraging me to play with FIRE at the tender age of two? Someone STOP this madness!!! R was not too into the candle part!

The fantastic road with all of their favorite places that my Mom made for the boys cars. It was a HIT!
An old Model T pedal car from Papa and Gram Gram. Definitely fun!
Lots of vehicle toys this birthday - that even Great Gramps was sweet talked into helping with. FYI - helping meant pushing them around, while they sat there!
Our campsite backed right onto the playground. Lots of fun to be had on the swings....

....concentrating on going down that slide carefully....

....and letting it all go, as we flew down the slide as fast as we could go! Whee!!!!

Wow! All this camping wore us out. Three VERY tired birthday babies!

And here is the car, after we got home. B and R wanted a turn - W didn't want to share, so they figured out how to do their own "traffic stop!" W was SO happy with that turn of events. Mom and Dad were laughing, and kind of proud of B's inventiveness! Um, another five minutes and we DID take it away for the rest of the night! LOL
