Gold Medalist!

Congratulations on finding the perseverance to whip those WIPs! Please accept this Ravatar bouquet from the beautiful Bobettes.
and this medal from the head of the International Ravelympic Committee, Adonis Dionysius Bobicus Maximus.
I joined the Ravelympics in 3 categories - 2 WIPS (Work in Process), 1 shawl, and 1 afghan. So far, I have finished one of the WIPS - a black and white afghan. I had LOTS of help in the test department. Here, R and W decide that it is appropriate for reading time.
W then tests out the softness while I attempt to weave in ends.

Oh, it's done - well I'm out of here. Where's the next project?!

Tagged - TWICE!!!!

Tagged I was tagged by http://usefulhandsandheart.blogspot.com/
Rules: The rules of the game get posted at the beginning. Each player answers the questions about himself or herself. At the end of the post, the player then tags five people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know they’ve been tagged and asking them to read your blog.
Ten years ago: August 1998....Well, my husband and I had just started dating....I was getting ready for my third year of college at Portland State University, and working full time for Safeway. Ahhh, the joys of not yet having a degree!
Things I'd do if I were a billionaire: QUIT WORK!!!! Stay home with my babies! Help people in need. There are so many people I would love to help out. See the world - start with taking my husband to Alaska, my kiddies to Disneyland, and myself to Europe! Have a gardener...I was just looking out the window, and my flower beds need some MAJOR help, and I HATE gardening!
Three bad habits I have: Chocolate, soda, and gossiping...especially about people I am mad at!
Five places I've lived: Okay, so I am boring - the only two I can list are Cornelius, OR with my parents growing up, and then Hillsboro, OR. Hey, if you like the area, why leave?
Five Jobs I've Had: Safeway to put myself through college for 5 years, Laughlin International for 3 years, Can't even remember the name of the company for 3 months - hated it so much I started looking again after a month! and now Jones and Ham, CPA, and of course - my favorites, Wife and Mother!
Five things on today's to do list:
1. Catch up my blog - DONE!
2. Finish crocheting together the motifs for my Wheel Lattice Afghan
3. Schedule a doctor and dentist appointment
4. Schedule an oil change for my car
5. Check the smoke alarm for batteries (honest, this is on the list....I was reading something about a fire, and the house would have been saved if their smoke alarm was working. We haven't checked ours in a couple of years - figured that NOW would be a good time!)

And the second one, passed to me by http://usefulhandsandheart.blogspot.com/ I've been tagged. Here are the rules:
1. Link back to the person who tagged you
2. Mention the rules on your blog
3. Tell about 6 unspectacular quirks of yours
4. Tag 6 following bloggers by linking to them
5. Leave a comment on each of the tagged bloggers' blogs letting them know they've been tagged
So, 6 unspectacular quirks about me:
1. I am a list maker - I want to make my list, cross everything off of it by the end of the day, and go to bed feeling like I got something done!
2. The best way that I relax is with a cup of tea and a book!
3. I am an eclectic reader - I love just about everything but Scifi and Fantasy, but I can only read one genre for so long, then I have to switch it up. Currently, I am in a mystery mood!
4. I run my life on a schedule. With triplets, you have to have a schedule, and so I am on a schedule in order to keep them on a schedule! Keeps me organized.
5. I hate having more then one project for each hobby going at a time. So, right now I am going nuts because I have 2 shawls and 3 afghans going at once. Thank heavens for the Ravelympics and the WIP wrestling - I plan on wrestling a few of those out of my pile!
6. I hate, hate, hate being behind on my scrapbooking, and right now I am a year behind because of three baby albums. My entire focus - after the Ravelympics is to catch up! Wish me luck!

Mainstreet Madness

Every year our town puts on a 3on3 Basketball tournament called Mainstreet Madness in their downtown streets. They have the basketball tournament, and the normal Saturday market, but they also add all kinds of games and activities for kids, a street fair, and it is a very family friendly, and free way to spend the weekend - unless you play in the tournament! A and his borther played a few years ago and had a ball, but we have been so busy with the kiddies, that they haven't played the last two years. Well, this year they signed up again....

The play was intense, the bodies were sore, and they had LOTS of fun!
They are even going to play again next year - although A says that he is getting too old for this, and so in 4 years, when the kids are eligible, he is graduating to the position of coach!

And of course, his cheering squad came along for the tournament. Yep, myself and all three kids! It took LOTS of chai tea and some help from the grandparents, too!

Toys Need Not Apply!

Let me tell you a story....
About three kids with LOTS of toys...that they didn't play with....instead, we have the totes that the toys come in. Lets just dump the toys, climb in the totes, and have a hay day! That way we get to watch Mom pick up all the toys, too!
The totes work as places to practice our balancing...
A stage for singing...

And a place where we can crawl in and out, in and out!

And of course, being boys, the best toys in the world are Daddy's TV remotes! Shh, you don't tell, I won't tell!

Oops, I think we have been caught! Oh hey, she just got out the camera! I think we are golden!

Wait a minute - I'm the oldest, I should be in control. I want BOTH remotes! That's why I'm the terrorist!
