One Down, One to Go!!!!

So, my brother-in law, and my sister-in-saw decide that this is a good year to get married. Okay, no big deal. Then, my sweet darling husband who really is proud of what I do, decides that I need to hand-make their wedding gifts. Okay, so things are getting a bit tighter on time schedules. But, one wedding is scheduled in May, one in August - I can do this. So, then began the discussion of WHAT to do. We finally decided that a crosstitch middle, and then a quilt would be the best - and the only thing that I would really get done on time. The thread crocheted tablecloth my sister-in-law wants - maybe next century!!! So, here is my brother-in-law's quilt. Done. And the shower is 4 days away. We are doing good!

Here is most of the finished product. My model wasn't big enough to hold it all by himself, and for some reason, the babies wouldn't help. Now, for my problem - my sister-in-law moved her wedding to two weeks after my brother-in-laws. So, I have two weeks to do another quilt. Better dream on - I plan on having it done for her original wedding date in August. And that is that!!!
And here is my model, who could not believe that I really DID want him to stand on the couch and hold up the quilt to get pictures! So, after I got a few good ones, he wanted pictures of him to prove that he really did help with the quilt - he held it so I could get pictures!

Curious George

Meet Curious George. I have explained to W that he was a preemie, so he is supposed to be behind - not ahead on his timing for accomplishing things. He isn't listening - probably just the first of many times! So, he is doing what all of the books label as "cruising." AKA pulling himself up on everything and everyone in his path (should have seen him with his highchair last night - he couldn't figure out why it kept moving on him!) then he moves along to the next thing. He has figured out how to "walk" the length of the coffee table, the couch, and along all of the exersaucers/swings/etc that inhabit the front room. Also, if you walk down the hall to put away laundry, or do anything else; ie blog! he WILL come looking for you!
He has a hard time figuring out why things tip over on him - like bouncy seats, swings, etc. He goes "bonk" a lot!

But, because he is now moving more - he gets into more "stuff" that we don't necessarily want him to get into. For instance, the above picture of Granny's knitting. Mom's crocheting bag, the laptop, the wood stove, and a few other things have come in for a share of his attention as well. Curious George is learning one other thing besides "cruising." That would be "no no!" He doesn't like "no no!"

Freak Show

Meet our personal freak show! How many families can boast of multiples in 3 generations? Meet my twin uncles D&D (fraternal), my twin brothers J&J (identical) and my 3 babies! I had a good time calling my brothers "freaks of nature" as we grew up, because that is what identical twins are. And trust me, if you had grown up with them, you would have called them freaks, too! Anyway, my Gramps turned 75 last week, and we had a family party for him. At the family party, we attempted to get a picture of all three generations of multiples. As he was walking toward the couch, my brother Jason, grumbled "oh sure, your own private freak show!" LOL So, here it is - our own private freak show! But, the three smallest ones are sure cute! The picture wasn't the greatest - the babies are too tired, so we shall try again on the 4th of July - a big holiday for our family.

9 months old!!!

I can hardly believe it, but 9 months and 1 week ago, A and I were in the hospital meeting our three babies. Here they are at 9 months old!!!! Right now, W is walking - he was a PREMIE, he is supposed to be LATE, not EARLY!!!! So, as he starts to explore, Mom and Dad are moving all kinds of things around, and putting them away! B is my content one. He is my big boy who likes to eat, and does a lot of self-feeding. Wow! He also is our talker - you are guaranteed a happy conversation with him, and he is VERY ticklish! FUN! R is our bubble girl. I swear she is going to be a cheerleader - she just has that type of happy, vibrant personality! She is doing the army crawl all over the place, and actually moves faster then W.

Whoops - did I do that! Granny also found out that B seems to like the outdoors while she took their pictures. First of all, she has no tulips left within his reach!

And the other thing he likes about the outdoors is the dirt! He is ALL BOY!! Notice his pants and lip! Guess I won't have to worry about feeding him!

How many of me?

Did you know there are 501 Christinas with the same last name that I have in the US. This is kind of an interesting website that my Dad found. Kind of interesting to see who has your same name! http://www.howmanyofme.com/search/

I'm a WHAT????!!!!!!

I have been working on putting together the babies albums, and catching up our family scrapbook. So yes, my office has pictures scattered all over, if has stickers and papers stacked, and pictures fresh from the printer scattered all over the floor, drying. My husband walked in the other day, carrying B and told me it looked like a serial killer lived in my office! You know, like I had been stalking our kiddies for the last 9 months! I looked around, and had to laugh. It did look like one of those rooms on the cop tv shows where they walk in, and immediately know that the bad guy lives there! Fortunately for me, the scrapbooking is moving along, and by the end of the year (only 7 months away!) all 4 albums should be caught up, and my office will return to normal!

Finally, Barrettes!

I have only been waiting for my whole life to have a daughter. Then, I have to have one with hair like mine - stands straight up, and not long enough for barrettes! So, I make do with headbands, aka "price tags" by her grandfather! However, this Saturday, we reached a major milestone. Check out what R finally has in her hair!

Happy First Easter

This is my first post on my first ever blog! I am trying it out as a sort of personal journal to keep up on my thoughts and the daily happenings. This picture is my favorite from Easter. Our first Easter with our babies, and their very first Easter baskets! They had a good time with those! We are still reading all of their books.
